These web pages teach you how to get started writing Visual Basic applications.
If you are unfamiliar with Visual Basic,
please read the
Visual Basic Tutorial
first. If
you have not yet installed Visual Basic on your machine, download and
install it.
Play around with it to
get used to its GUI. (See the Visual Basic User's
guide.
)
These pages are designed so that you can flip from one to another as you learn Visual Basic. However, most people will probably want to start with the Quick Start Example.
After that, I suggest you work through all
the basic
topics with the running example.
If you have trouble
getting your hablet to run correctly, see if you made a common
error.
Each pattern usually has these sections:

Explains information you need to know before using this pattern.

Explains how to use the information in this pattern.
