My current research area spans peer-to-peer (P2P) networks and Distributed Systems. I am interested in algorithm design and performance modeling of various distributed systems based on a variety of theories, including optimization, graph theory, and network coding. I am also interested in extensive measurement and statistical study of large-scale Internet systems, to explore problems and derive insights towards their improvement. I am currently the leader for the Systems Innovation Group SIG (SIGS). SIGS is a team of researchers' with interests lie in the area of systems and networking infrastructure, specifically addressing performance based issues.
